Beaumes de Venise - Côtes du Rhône Wine Tour

Beaume de Venise has a terroir with two different faces: one able to produce typical Rhone style red wines and an other wone which produces sweet dessert wines from the grape Muscat.

Considered as a "Cru" since 2005 Beaumes de Venise AOC is Located at the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains. The grenache is the main grape varietal and is usually blended with Syrah (others grapes varietals: Carignan, Cinsault, Counoise, Vaccarèse...). The reds have an intense rubis color, have medium tanins, and are very fruity. They are very drinkable young but can still age between 5 and 10 years.

Muscat de Beaumes de Venise: This sweet wine is a dessert wine made out of Muscat is produced with a fortification process which is consisting to add pure alcohol during the fermenation in order to kill the yeast and preserve the natural sugar. The wine has a gold color and is powerful with aromas of apricot lychee and honey. Ideal to pair with a dessert like a fruit pie.
